Once a year, Car and Driver Magazine puts out a "10Best" list chronicling what it believes are the ten best vehicles on sale in the United States.  There are hundreds of lists that come out every year ranking various cars for all sorts of various reasons, but this one is pretty simple in its purpose (find the best cars, period) and very respected because of the publication putting it out there.

With just a month left in 2011, BMW is ridiculously close to taking the luxury car crown for the year.  If a 1,600-vehicle lead is enough to stave off Mercedes-Benz, then the victory belongs to BMW.  There are those that say that winning isn't everything, but those people clearly don't have their lifeblood hinged on that triumph.

Twenty years ago, nobody would've even considered thinking of something this crazy, mostly because twenty years ago nobody was as concerned with the environment as we are today.  Still, a system that recycles rotting waste from a landfill into reusable energy for a BMW manufacturing plant is absolutely genius.

Sometime in 2012, BMW plans to implement exactly this sort of system at their Rosslyn plant in Pretoria, South Africa.

As far as innovative music services for the automobile are concerned, Pandora has pretty much gotten all of the buzz so far.  In a way, we suppose that's fair enough considering Pandora's unique way of helping users find new artists similar the ones they already love has certainly helped expand fans' love of music.  But there's more to streaming music than just Pandora, folks, and BMW never has been one to discriminate.
