In 2012, buying a new car isn't as simple as picking the prettiest one, or the fastest one, or even the most luxurious one. Those things certainly play a role in deciding which new model to bring on home, but let's face it; in 2012, there are few things consumers care more about than fuel efficiency.
The fact that the U.S. government cares as well, and has set pretty lofty goals for all automakers to meet in just a small handful of years is significant as well, and when both consumers and politicians are pressuring you to make more efficient vehicles, that's what you go on ahead and do.
For those of us selling cars here at Fields BMW Lakeland, that just makes our job about a million times easier, especially when it comes to the 2012 BMW 328i, which features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that's way more fun to drive than most people ever expect when they see the engine's relatively small size. However, like all BMW 3 Series vehicles that Tampa drivers use on a regular basis, the real kicker with the 328i is its MPG. According to the EPA, the new 328i will get 24 mpg in the city and a whopping 36 mpg on the highway, good for an average of 28 mpg.
Considering how much stock consumers put in those numbers these days, we know that's a good thing both for our brand and our dealership. The next step is getting people to test drive these to see that, as well as being efficient, they're pretty, fast, and luxurious, as well.
