BMW Technology Aides Olympians' Training

If there is one thing people like, it's food.  And if there's two things people like, it's food and listening to streaming internet radio in their cars.  2013 model year BMW vehicles can't whip you up a well-cooked meal on command, but they can do the other thing, and apps like AUPEO! are making it more fun and easier than ever before.

BMW Boasts Two Finalists for World Car of the Year

The ten finalists were recently announced for the World Car of the Year award, and, perhaps not surprisingly, BMW models made up two of the ten.  While every other model on this list except for Audi (who also had two) has a one-in-ten shot at taking home the accolade, we here at Fields BMW Lakeland are pretty happy with our 20% chance of winning.

A Look at the BMW Art Cars

As far as traditions go, BMW's Art Car is one of the cooler ones in the auto world.  Every handful of years for almost four decades, BMW has commissioned a renowned artist to take one of their vehicles and turn it into something artistic.  At first the focus was just on BMW vehicles that appeared in races, but over time that has changed so that now pretty much any of the German automakers' models?

As far as innovative music services for the automobile are concerned, Pandora has pretty much gotten all of the buzz so far.  In a way, we suppose that's fair enough considering Pandora's unique way of helping users find new artists similar the ones they already love has certainly helped expand fans' love of music.  But there's more to streaming music than just Pandora, folks, and BMW never has been one to discriminate.

BMW 3 Series Introduces Diesel Engine

It's time for us all to admit that the way we view engines is going to have to change.  In the past, huge engine capacity and multiple cylinders were what defined a good, strong engine, but with increasingly stringent environmental standards for fuel efficiency, the reality is that a lot of those old super-engines are going to have to hit the wayside for smaller mechanics with better MPG's.
