Undercarriage
- Change oil and oil filter.
- Inspect transmission for leaks.
- Examine transfer case (if equipped) for leaks.
- Check rear axle for leaks.
- Inspect front and rear axle half-shafts and check for leaks at flexible boots.
- Visually check fuel tank, lines and connections.
- Examine condition, position and mounting of exhaust system. Check for leaks.
- Check power steering system for leaks. Check p/s fluid and add fluid if necessary.
- Inspect and record overall thickness of front and rear outer brake pads using special tool.
- Examine brake disc surfaces. Clean brake pad contact points in calipers.
- Lubricate wheel centering hubs. If rear brake pads are replaced, check thickness of parking brake linings.
- Check steering operation, condition of suspension track rods, front axle joints, steering linkage and joint disc.
- Inspect brake system connections and lines for leaks, damage and correct positioning.
- Verity parking brake actuation. Adjust if necessary.
- Inspect and record all tire pressures (including spare). Correct if necessary.
- Examine condition of tires (outer surfaces [left/right]) tred wear and pattern
- Inspect entire body according to terms of rust perforation limited warranty.
Engine Compartment
- Read out diagnostic system
- Check engine cooling system/healer hose connections for leaks.
- Verity coolant level and antifreeze protection level. Add coolant if necessary. Record freezing point temperature.
- Check level of brake fluid in reservoir. Add fluid if required.
- Examine windshield washer fluid level and antifreeze protection. Fill and/or correct if necessary.
- Record freeze point temperature.
- Inspect air conditioner operation.
- Replace micro/cabin air conditioning filter.
- Reset service interval indicator.
- Replace intake air element (reduce interval in dusty operating conditions).
Body/Electrical Equipment
- Check battery and charge it required.
- Verity heating systems for correct operation including all exterior and interior lights.
- Inspect dashboard and instrument panel illumination.
- Check all warning/indicator lights.
- Inspect turn sign, hazard lights, brake lights, horns an headlight dimmer switch.
- Check wiper and washer system, wiper blades aid washer jet positions.
- Examine condition and function of safety belts.
- Check central locking/double lock.
- Verity operation of all latches.
- Inspect heater/air conditioner blower fan, rear window defogger.
- Check rear view mirrors.
- Visually examine the SRS airbag unit for torn covers, damage, or modification.
- Record at results on the Fields BWW Vehicle Inspection Form.
