Is the BMW 3 Series the Greatest Car Ever?

There are cars, and then there are really good cars.  And then, way after that, at the very tippy-top of the automotive business, is the best automobile of all time-the BMW 3 Series.

Easy for us to say, you're thinking, since as a dealership actually selling this particular BMW in Florida, we would have no qualms with claiming such a thing, but we're not the ones making the claim.  In fact, it's respected "Top Gear" co-host Richard Hammond calling the 3 Series the greatest car ever made; our role in that is we're just not arguing with him.

What does Hammond think is so great about our best-selling series of vehicles?  For starters, the 3 Series has decades of history proving it to be one of the most reliable and well-built automobiles on the planet.  The fact that it's been that way consistently for years and years is a testament to its quality, and it's also the reason we see the 3 Series at the top of so many "Best Car" lists every year.

Beyond that, though, the latest generation of 3 Series has hit a sweet spot with styling, and Hammond particularly appreciates how, over time, these vehicles almost never end up in the shop because of mechanical breakdowns.  If you buy a new BMW 3 Series, you could easily own that car for a decade or more with zero major problems.  The fact that everything falls into place so nicely just adds fuel to the "greatest car ever" fire.  To be frank, that's a flame we'd like to keep burning for decades more.
