2013 BMW 7 Series Gets Big Upgrades

Despite what some may say, change is a good thing, especially in the auto world.  While there are those who pine for the automotive past, the truth is that cars have only gotten better and safer as the years have gone on, and that means with every generational upgrade we get to see the best cars ever made.  Happily, 2013 is an upgrade model year for the 7 Series, something any dealer or fan of BMW in Florida must be ecstatic to hear, particularly when the scheduled updates mean more juice in the drivetrains and some aesthetic updates, as well.

For starters, all of the 2013 BMW 7 Series vehicles will be getting a bit of a facelift.  There's a new grille, a new front fascia, and customers can now opt for adaptive LED headlights.

But looks are only a part of what make these new cars so special.  Upgrades to the engines mean more power for most of the new 7 Series cars, with the exception being the ActiveHybrid 7.  Only that one loses some horsepower because of a new, smaller engine, but that's only done so our hybrid offering in the 7 Series can sport more competitive fuel efficiency numbers.

The 740i and 740Li both will get revised V6 engines that push out about 315 horsepower, while the 750i and 750Li get huge upgrades to their V8s so that they can generate a whopping 445 horsepower.

People expect big things out of a flagship, and we really think these changes will create that impression for the new 7 Series, due out by late summer.  The 2013 BMW ActiveHybrid 7 will start showing up a few months later in the autumn of 2012.
