Let us throw a couple of stats at you.  Ready?  Okay, here we go:

In 2007, for the first time in the history of mankind, more people lived in urban areas than in rural areas, and by 2030, experts predict that 3 out of 5 people worldwide will live in a major city.

What does that have to do with BMW fans like you and Lakeland car dealers like us?  Well, obviously the way we design and manufacture automobiles is going to have to change quite a bit in the next 15-20 years if we're going to cater to the millions upon millions of people who are going to want cars that fit their unique urban needs.

To make sure BMW engineers consider every possibility before moving forward with new car designs, though, BMW thought it would be worthwhile to tap into the ideas of the general public to see if any non-employees had any good ideas worth tossing into the mix.

Yes, folks, it's the American Idol of auto design, BMW's Urban Driving Experience Challenge, and it's going to allow any engineers, designers, creative people, or even just fans with too much time on their hands to come up with ideas for how to make a perfect urban vehicle.  The winner will win $30,000 and a trip to Germany to meet with BMW executives at company headquarters.

We here at Fields BMW of Lakeland encourage our customers to take a stab at this, because a good idea could immediately turn you into a star in the automotive world.  What have you got to lose?
