If there's one thing that drivers have come to expect in their search for new and pre-owned BMW vehicles, it is distinctive style that resonates inside and out. Now, drivers in Atlanta have an opportunity to see the legacy of this characteristic style at the High Museum of Art. There, the BMW brand will run the "Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas" exhibit from May 21 through Sept. 7.
The exhibit will feature 17 concept cars designed in Europe and the United States specifically to fuel imagination and inspire impeccable design from the 1930s up through the present day. Included in the exhibit will be the 2008 BMW GINA Light Visionary Model, which played a fundamental role in the direction of vehicle development moving forward. The model challenged everything from the leading manufacturing techniques to the current concept of creativity. The model was developed to promote humanism, emotion and natural aesthetics in a cohesive body.
The GINA Light Visionary Model wears flexible fabric over its movable substructure and engages available functions only when they are truly needed. For example, the vehicle's headlight design is built to hide the headlights beneath its fabric cover when they are not needed only to adjust the contour of the front of the vehicle once the driver activates the lights. Functions like these have altered the relationship between car and driver as we know it.
Beyond these traits, the GINA Light Visionary Model is a beauty to behold. Thanks to its fabric exterior, the water-resistant vehicle is always on the verge of transformation, just like the auto industry itself. For the staff at our Lakeland car dealership, this model is an inspiration and a ground-breaking treasure. We invite you to be alongside us as we journey into the future with the BMW brand.
