Like every other automaker in the world today, BMW has put a lot into manufacturing a crossover that people can get on board with, and the 2011 X3 xDrive28i is what they've come up with. Some of the most serious BMW fans have given the vehicle a hard time, claiming that it was only created as a cash cow for the company, but to that we say, "So what?"
All Lakeland car dealerships have their fair share of crossovers to sell, and BMW dealers like ourselves are certainly no exception. And do you know why we love selling CUVs? Because they're what people want right now. Purists can say what they will, but the reality is that you've got to hit up every class that's in demand, and few are as in demand as the crossover.
And it's not like the x3 xDrive28i is some hunk of junk. All the luxuries you'd expect from a BMW, this vehicle has. The interior looks pretty much like the interior of any other vehicle in the lineup, with similar dashboard and steering wheel and door panels. It's got all the great iDrive stuff and a very beautiful LCD screen with which to operate it. There's wood trim and loads of leather-all the luxuries people want from a luxury vehicle, and in this case, a luxury crossover.
It's also a pretty fun car to drive. The engine, BMW's inline six-cylinder, is among the better engine offerings the automaker has. It's an efficient engine, and powerful, too, capable of 240 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. Its transmission is an eight-speed, and that provides a really smooth ride. What else would you expect from any BMW, right?
If you drive a BMW in Florida, you know that getting the most of your vehicle purchase goes way beyond just the brand name. You also have to track down the vehicle that most meets your family's needs, and crossovers are vehicles that seem to be meeting a lot of familial needs at this point. That being the case, why wouldn't BMW dive head-first into the CUV market, especially when they're able to put out such a wonderful one in the X3 xDrive28i?
