We get to write this article once a year, and what better time than as our first post for 2013 to announce that the 2013 BMW 3 Series has, once again, made "Car and Driver" magazine's 10Best list, which represents their top ten cars available for under $80,000.

The 3 Series was on the list last year, too, but that wasn't a huge surprise considering that it had been named one of C&D's 10Best for 20 consecutive years before that.  In all, this is the 22nd straight year that this car has been given this accolade, but considering the latest model is a generational upgrade we're glad to see that our new changes are going over well in the hearts and minds of the critics.

Specifically, it's the BMW F30 that garners the praise this year, thanks to its two turbocharged engines, improved fuel economy, and larger body and interior.  As always, the 3 Series cars are lauded for their dashing good looks, comfortable seats, and diverse list of packages that provide features for a number of different consumers' budgets.

At the end of the day, though, this was just a car that checked off the most boxes on the awesome test, so it was once again placed on a list of reasonably affordable new automobiles that makes us the proud manufacturers of one of the auto industry's most successful models.  No BMW dealership takes that lightly, least of all us, and we're hoping that the new M3 version of the F30 helps keep us on this list for the 2014 model year, too.
