They say that patience is a virtue, but let's all be honest with ourselves here for a minute and admit that even the most virtuous among us have a hard time being patient sometimes. Gandhi himself would've gotten frustrated waiting at a Starbucks for more than 25 minutes just to get his grande chai tea latte.
But if most of us can't wait 25 minutes for a hot drink, imagine our impatience in waiting for the BMW i8, a beautiful, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced automobile that's going to change the face of our brand forever. Patience may be a virtue, folks, but it's a virtue that sure does come hard when the object of that patience is something so sweet.
The i8, for those of you that don't know, is BMW's first plug-in hybrid due to come out sometime in the second half of 2014 as a 2015 model year car. Not only does it rock sporty looks with a respectable 200+ horsepower, but it also can go 20 miles at a time without using any gas and is expected to get around 70 miles to the gallon with the gas it does use.
Obviously, Lakeland car dealers like ourselves are excited about the prospect of adding a vehicle like that to our repertoire, but honestly, as fans of BMW vehicles, we're just excited to test drive the thing. We need to be virtuous just like everybody else, though, because we're essentially two years out from the i8's release. We don't, however, have to be happy about the wait.
