At our Lakeland BMW dealer, we know that our customers appreciate the thrill of winning. We don't just mean winning board games and arguments -- we mean taking an initiative, going after what you want and succeeding. And we are here to support you in that endeavor from your first visit to our dealership.

We're also excited to celebrate a new victory by the BMW brand and its supporters -- especially because the grand prize is one of our very own vehicles! Today, we're celebrating a major win by PGA TOUR athlete Hunter Mahan, who won a 2014 BMW i3 vehicle after scoring a hole-in-one on the 17th hole at the 2013 BMW Championship at Conway Farms in Lake Forest, Ill. As part of his prize win, Mahan also met Melyzjah Smith, who earned a full, four-year tuition and housing grant as the 2013 BMW Hole-in-One Scholar.

We're thrilled to learn that the 2013 BMW Championship at Conway Farms, which was named the PGA TOUR Tournament of the Year in 2012 and 2013, has turned out to be a win-win situation for Mahan and Smith alike. In addition to the hole-in-one benefits, all net proceeds coming out of the BMW Championship will support the Evans Scholars Foundation, which provides full college scholarships to deserving caddies.

BMW has acted as title sponsor of the event since 2007, and since that time, the tournament has raised more than $16 million for the Evans Scholars Foundation. BMW of North America likewise offers a summer internship program enabling Evans Scholars to work for BMW in order to gain practical work experience as they prepare for the future.
