Today, we're celebrating the opening of the Regional Parts Distribution Center (RDC) in Redlands, Calif. The state-of-the-art facility is LEED Silver certified and poised to supply the Southwestern Region of the brand's dealer network, spanning Southern California, Arizona, Southern Nevada and Hawaii. The RDC facility will also have the capacity to support BMW Group dealerships throughout the country as needs arise. Currently 326,509 square feet, RDC has access to an additional 96,000 square feet for potential expansion.
The function of the RDC is to provide dealers with all of the resources they will need to deliver excellent customer service through attentive and efficient parts distribution. Additionally, the opening of the RDC has added many job opportunities in the region.
The fully staffed and operating Redlands facility is one of six BMW Group Regional Distribution Centers throughout the country, which manage upwards of 80,000 unique part numbers over two million square feet of distribution and storage space. More than 400 associates across the six facilities are focused on processing dealer orders throughout the U.S. market every day.
