June marks halftime for BMW regarding their sales for 2016. It was a strong month, and a great indicator of where they're going for the rest of the year.
Much like a franchise quarterback, the 2016 BMW 3 Series has been a strong performer for the automaker for a long time. We love it here at Fields BMW Lakeland. It boasts potent engine options ranging from powerful BMW TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder and six-cylinder gasoline engines to available diesel and eDrive powertrains. And the 2016 BMW 3 Series comes from a lineup that is legendary for its handling prowess, essentially inventing the sport sedan concept many decades ago.
Its strength was apparent during June 2016 as the 2016 BMW 3 Series posted robust sales of 6,819 vehicles. The 2016 BMW 3 Series added to its year-to-date sales total as well, reaching 32,976 vehicles and extending its margin as the volume leader for the automaker.
On an overall basis, BMW posted sales of 28,855 vehicles during June 2016. The automaker increased its year-to-date sales total to 153,436 vehicles.
"The mid-point to the year always brings some uncertainly about what may be ahead in the second half, so I'm very pleased to see several of our key models showing strong results in June," said BMW of North America President and CEO Ludwig Willisch.
